BruinsClaw Trophy Saskatchewan Moose hunts take place from mid-September to mid-October, encompassing the prime rut.
Our lodge has five bull tags per year and our sole goal on these hunts
is to provide you with a hunt of a lifetime and memories to match.
To that end we have decided to make all of our hunts 10 days in duration
with the option of extending the hunt an additional two days should your
We are doing this to ensure we have every opportunity of going 100% on
In past years, our success has been very high - 85% - but that being said,
the Moose in our area have no other hunting pressure given our remote location.
Our hunts are conducted out of the main lodge in conjunction with drop/spike
camps. This drop camp location is approximately 18 miles upstream on the
Geikie River, giving us access to a remote region with very high moose density.
If the two extra days of hunting are needed, then these days will be FREE.
Clients can expect heavy antlered Moose in the 45-50 inch class with
a very real possibility of exceeding the 50 inch mark.
We have taken several Moose in excess of this mark in the past few years
with our largest being a mature 56" brute!
The area we hunt in is inundated with rivers, streams, lakes and
burns providing an ideal Moose habitat.
Also included in this hunt is the fall fishing.
There is no better time to go after huge Northern Pike than in the fall.
Our largest Northern to date was caught two seasons ago and measured
a whopping 51 1/2". WOW!
